The first step is to get your session on my calendar! The Deposit Fee is $100 and is due in order to hold your appointment.
Book Your Session
For women, decide if you'd like to work with my hair and makeup artist for an additional $150.
I will also email all clients a Headshot Session Planning Guide that will give you lots of information on what to wear, grooming tips, and a checklist of items to bring to your shoot.
Prepare for your shoot
A typical shoot takes about an hour, but we'll shoot as long as it takes. Bring as many outfits as you'd like and we'll see what shoots best. We'll also cull your gallery together to create a proofing gallery of your best images.
It's headshot day!
Within 48 hours, I will email you a link to your online proofing gallery. From here, you will be able to make your final selection of the images you would like retouched. You can share this link with friends or family and get their opinion, too. And I am always available to give my professional opinion.

After you have made your final selection, the retouching process begins. If you have selected more than one image, I will retouch the first one and we will decide if you are satisfied with the degree of retouching. If so, additional images will be retouched to the same degree. Upon editing completion, you will receive a link to a gallery with the ability to download your final images.

The Yvonne Min Photography
Shooting tethered means that my camera is connected to my laptop and we are able to view every image immediately. As we shoot, we will take breaks to talk about what you like, what you want more of, and what we can improve upon.
In my studio, I work with Westcott's Peter Hurley Flex Kit. This is a continuous lighting system that provides exquisite light on my subjects.

I pride myself on having excellent retouching skills. I promise that I won't make you look like plastic. However, I do believe that a headshot should be the best representation of you and you should look like a million bucks.

I have been photographing headshots for over a decade. I was personally mentored by Peter Hurley, who is considered by many to be the best headshot photographer in the world.
My promise to you is that we will create a headshot that exudes both confidence and approachability– the two key factors of a successful headshot.
I hear it time and time again, "when I got my last headshot taken, the photographer just told me to stand there and smile and I had no idea what to do." That will NOT be your experience with me. I will coach you the ENTIRE session so that we get a variety of expressions and angles.

If you booked a hair and makeup appointment through me, you will meet us at the studio an hour before your session begins.
You will work with my Makeup Artist/Hair Stylist to achieve exactly what you're looking for. This ensures that you are camera ready and looking like your absolute best self.
After your hair and makeup is complete, you will pay them directly. I will provide you with the current rates at the time of booking.

Hair and makeup takes about an hour and then the shoot will last an additional hour. Of course, we might sit and visit a bit... You've been warned!
How long does a typical session take?

For each image that you choose to be retouched, you will receive 8 digital files. You will receive your image in high-resolution, low-resolution, color, black & white, and two different crop options.
What files do I receive from you?

You will be provided with a proofing gallery approximately 48 hours after your shoot. Once you have selected your image(s) to be retouched, the final versions will be uploaded to a private gallery from which you can download them directly.

I can accept all types of payment. That includes credit cards, Apple Pay, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, checks, and cash. There is a $100 Session Deposit due to book your session. The remainder of your balance will be due after you decide how many images you would like retouched.
